Allen Eugene Foster

Allen Eugene Foster passed away peacefully at home in Delta, Colorado on September 29, 2024, he was 74 years old.

Allen was born on September 16,1950 in Cheyenne Wells, Colorado to Thelma Foster (Kyner) and Paul Allen Foster. In 1957 the family moved west to Oak Creek, Colorado, where he attended school.

Allen served in the Navy and was honorably discharged.

He later met Cindy Valora, and they were married on June 5, 1971. They celebrated 53 years of marriage. Allen and Cindy raised their four children in Northwest Colorado and moved to Delta, Colorado in 1998.

When he wasn’t working in the coal mine, Allen enjoyed working on cars, camping, fishing, watching the Broncos, and especially spending time with family.

Allen is survived by his wife, Cindy, of Delta, Colorado; daughter, Stacy (Jerry) Philman of Delta, Colorado; son, Steven Foster of Ephram, Utah; son, Mark (Mindy) Foster of Vernal, Utah; and daughter, Kim (Tim) Portenier of Olathe, Colorado. Sister, Pam (Jim) Shephard of Rancho Cordova, California; and brother, David (Gaye) Foster of Kearns, Utah. Allen and Cindy were blessed with 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Thelma Foster; sister, Karen Doolin; and grandson, Michael John Philman.
