Amelia Mary Ann Muncy - Draper

Amelia Mary Ann Muncy (Mary) passed away March 4, 2025, at Delta Health hospital. She was 85 years old. A graveside service for family members was held at Cedar Hill Cemetery on March 10, 2025.

Mary was born on May 28,1939, at Bear River, Colorado (near Steamboat Springs) to Alma Burnett and Donald Draper. She grew up in Dragerton, Utah and graduated high school at Carbon College in Price, Utah in 1957.

She met Tom Muncy, and they married in January 1958 and celebrated 62 years together. In October 1968, Mary and Tom made their way to Delta County from Moab, Utah and settled in Paonia for the rest of their lives. A full-time mother and housewife, she loved decorating her home and taking care of luscious flower beds, creating a welcoming and loving environment for all her family and friends.

Mary loved gospel music, singing and playing the piano in church for many years. She will be remembered by all for her dedication to her lord and savior, Jesus Christ, whom Mary always talked about to anyone who would listen.

Mary is survived by son Tommy Lee Muncy (Paula Muncy) of Longmont, Colorado and daughter Frankie Ann Reschke (Luke Reschke) of Paonia, Colorado; as well, three grandchildren, Luke Michael Reschke of Hotchkiss, Colorado, Matthew Reschke of Grand Junction, Colorado and Rhema Tolle of Palisade, Colorado. 12 natural and 3 step great grandchildren also live on from her legacy.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 3 siblings.
