Ana Lorene Palmer

March 2, 1935 — August 2, 2024

Cedaredge

Ana Lorene (Gritton) Palmer, 89, formerly of Moberly, MO, died peacefully in her sleep on August 2, 2024 in Cedaredge, CO. Ana had been living with her daughter, Cathy, for the past three months since the passing of her beloved husband, Charles, just four months prior.

Ana was born in Moberly, MO on March 2, 1935 to the parents of Charles Raymond and Ruth Alberta (Shelledy) Gritton. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Palmer and brother Bill Gritton. Ana was married to the love of her life, Charles, for 68 years who passed away in early April of this year. Ana is survived by three children. Her sons Mike Palmer (Nola) of Littleton, CO; Scott Palmer (Julie) of Littleton, CO and her daughter Cathy Palmer of Cedaredge, CO. She was blessed with five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Ana attended school in Moberly through junior college. After graduating and working various jobs including being a carhop on roller skates at a local fast-food restaurant, she married Charles on November 20, 1955 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Moberly. The two of them moved numerous times during the next fifteen years before finally settling in Denver in 1970, where they would spend the rest of their lives together. Ana spent a number of years being a homemaker and mom before becoming an integral part of the family business, Palmer Marketing, Inc. in the early 80’s.

Ana was a good athlete. She loved to golf, play volleyball and softball, bowl and was a good skier in her day. She was also an excellent seamstress who enjoyed making clothes for her children. She had a feisty spirt about her too. But underneath that feistiness was a loving, caring mom and wife who loved her family dearly. She always remembered what was most important and that was her faith and family and she made sure to always put them first.
