Ann Carlson

 Ann Carlson passed away on Thursday October 3rd, 2024, at Western Slope Memory Care in Grand Junction Colorado. She was 81 years old.

 Ann was born on July 11th, 1943, in Fruita Colorado to Lola (Flanagan) Loss, and Roland Hassell. Her family moved to Delta Colorado, she stayed behind and lived with her grandmother until she graduated from Fruita High School in 1961. She moved to Delta and worked at KREX TV station where she met and married her husband Swede Carlson, on January 25th, 1967, at the Methodist Church in Delta Colorado. 

 They moved to Montrose Colorado where they raised their 2 children. Ann worked at the Credit Union for many years, then worked at Dental Offices as their Office Manager. 

 Her and Swede moved back to Delta. She unfortunately got stage 4 lymphoma, she was so amazing during this battle and kept a positive attitude, she fought hard and ended up cancer free.

 Ann became ill with Alzheimer’s 3 years ago. She ended up living at Western Slope Memory Care, where she melted the hearts of everyone that was there. She was so strong, and amazing during this journey of her life. It is so hard to watch such a beautiful person go through this, and she did it with strength and grace. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side. 

 Ann is Survive by her Children: Son Cody Carlson and wife Debbie Martinez of Delta, granddaughters Alicia, Jessica and husband Chris, Great grand kids, Hannah, Illeana, Cali, Max, and Ashley. Daughter Shawn Heaton and Son in law Roger Heaton, and grandson Chandler Heaton of Montrose. Sister Sue Palmer, and Brother John Hassell and sister-in-law Coeta Hassell, Brother Bobby Loss, and Sister Anna Marie Donnelly.

 Ann was a beloved mother, wife, grandma, and friend. She was strong, kind, compassionate, and loyal. Ann enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling with her kids, and playing Texas holdem. 

 Ann is proceeded in Death by her grandparents, parents, and one younger brother.
