Barbara Lee Larkin

Barbara Lee Larkin died a holy death Friday, June 28th, 2024 at her residence. She was 80 years old.

Barbara was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri by Ervin and Ruth Doerer. She met Nick Larkin in March of 1963 and was married October 26th that same year. They were married for 60+ years. The couple would move to Delta County in June of 1975 and lived there ever since.

Barbara was long time member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, a real estate agent with Town and Country, a volunteer worker at HopeWest Hospice for over 10 years, and a mother of four children, Rick, Chris, Greg and Andy.

Barbara was a long-time player of tennis, pickleball, golf, Chinese Mah Jong, bridge and Barbara loved to travel every chance she could. Barb was a devout Catholic, a 50+ year member of St. Michael’s church, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband Nick, sons Rick (Rhonda) of Montrose, Colorado, Greg of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Andy of Eckert, Colorado, three grandchildren, Father Nicholas Larkin IV of Welby, Colorado, Jonathon (Holly Jo) Larkin and their two children, Deacon and Jonathon Beau of Wickenburg, Arizona, Natalie Larkin (Justin Gowin) of Denver and their son Carson, siblings Dennis (Nancy) Doerer, Pat (Jim) Zerillo, Dan (Faith) Doerer and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Chris, and a sister Carol.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Altar and Rosary Society at St. Michael’s Church in Delta, Colorado.

A Rosary Service will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church at 9:30am Friday, July 5th, 2024 with a Memorial Service to follow at 10:00am. Burial will be at the Mesa View Cemetery located off 1725 Road in Delta, Colorado.
