Barbara Ann Puckett

Barbara Ann Puckett passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on January 30, 2025. Barbara was born January 12, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Martha Sandel and Howard Grace. Barbara grew up in Texas.

Barbara served in the Navy as a nurse and was honorably discharged in 1959. This is where she met her spouse, Joseph Puckett and were married in National City, California on August 19, 1959.

In 1961 Barbara made her way to Colorado, where she settled in Buena Vista, Colorado. She lived there for over 20 years before moving to Olathe, Colorado. 

Barbara was an avid gardener and seamstress; she loved to go yard selling and loved reading. She made lots of friends along her way. She loved her animals and had been told numerous times by people that if they died, they wanted to come back as her pet because they were treated so well. 

Barbara is survived by her children; Sam (Ladonna) Puckett of Montrose, Colorado, Michele (Wayne) Praytor of Stinnett, Texas, Todd (Delsey) Puckett of Delta, Colorado, Mary (Joe) Mazza of Montrose, Colorado. 9 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.

Barbara was proceeded in death by both of her parents, one brother, two sisters and her spouse.

There will be no services at this time. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Jude’s Hospital or Shriners.
