Betty Ann Davis

Betty Ann Davis passed away July 15, 2023, in Eckert, Colorado at the age of 75.  Services will be held on Friday, July 28th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel, 6823 1725 Road, Delta, Colorado.

Betty was born to Max and Lurleen (Sneed) DeBusk on March 3, 1948 in the area around Heber Springs, Arkansas.  She spent her later childhood and early adult years in Austin where her father had come to work on various construction projects.  She married Mahlon Davis in 1976 and they enjoyed almost 47 years of marriage to each other.

She was an avid history buff and collected many newspaper articles and clippings which she would send to friends and family members about things of interest.  She loved to watch birds, especially the sandhill cranes in the Delta area, and spent many enjoyable hours watching wildlife.

She is survived by her husband Mahlon; her stepchildren Nellie (Jim) Clauson of Grand Junction; David (Melanie) Davis of Grand Junction and Lori (Paul) Kindall of Meeker; her daughter-in-law Jackie Davis of New Castle; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Max and Lurleen DeBusk, her stepson Doug Davis and her grandson Kyle Kuersten.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to Hopewest.  Arrangements are under the care of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
