Billie Jane Ruble passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, at her residence of 54 years in Delta, Colorado. She was 74 years old.  A memorial celebration in her honor will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 1:00pm at Gunnison Valley Church of the Nazarene.

Billie was born February 1, 1949, to Francis Jane Tilley and Billie Edward Rumsey in Twin Falls, Idaho. She spent her childhood in Illinois and Louisiana, then graduated high school in Hotchkiss, Colorado. She continued her education at CMU in the study of nursing.

Billie met Bill in Hotchkiss, Colorado and they were married at Hotchkiss Church of God on September 20, 1968. They celebrated 55 years of marriage this year.

Billie was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, and attended the Church of God in Delta, where she served as worship leader, Sunday school teacher and in many other capacities for over 40 years. She and Bill have attended Gunnison Valley Church of the Nazarene for the past three years.  She was a homemaker for most of her life, but found great joy in her later years as a fitness instructor at Bill Heddles Recreation Center. She enjoyed studying her Bible, long rides with family, and spending time with family and friends.

Billie is survived by her husband, John William Ruble (Bill) of Delta, two sons, Bryon (Cynthia) Ruble, Brad (Sherry) Ruble, one stepson, Jess (Candice) Ruble, three sisters, Mary (Richard) Nelson, Dee (Bill) Peterson, Jan Stout, one brother, Michael (Susan) Rumsey, nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents.
