Byron “Big B” William Hoffman

Byron “Big B” William Hoffman passed away November 12th, 2022. He was 80 years old.
Big B was born on September 28th, 1942, to Amye Bernice (Carr) and Orville William Hoffman in Oakland, California. He grew up in California and graduated from Los Gatos High School in 1960. He then continued his education at San Jose State University graduating in 1976 with his Batchelor of Science Degree in Business Administrtion.
Byron joined the United States Navy in June of 1966 and served our country till June of 1968. He served in the Vietnam war.
When he came back to the States, he enrolled as a Deputy Sheriff. December 17th, 2019, Byron married Karen Phyllis Fowler. When he wasn’t working, he was a part of the Bridge Club, loved sports: The Broncos and Cal Poly; he watched the games and news on TV, he enjoyed farming, cattle, and irrigating. If around for very long, you’d hear him say, “Geez, Karen!”
Byron is survived by his wife Karen of Cedaredge, CO; stepson Brian Schuller of Santa Cruz, CA; stepdaughter Jill (Chris) Cherry of Ocean Springs, MS and six grandchildren.
Byron is preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Hoffman, stepson Barry Schuller.
