Carl Olver Jordan was born on June 27, 1951, in Clayton, New Mexico to Buck and Alice Jordan, and passed away on August 26, 2024, in Cedaredge, Colorado at the ripe ‘ol age of 73.
Carl leaves behind a wife, Sharon Jordan; a grandson that he was raising as his own, Heath Hurley; daughter, Sherry and Drayton Cronk; and a son, Curt and Jennifer Jordan; sister, Noaleen and Elmer Beaver; many grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
He was a man of deep faith and cherished his relationship with the Lord, often dedicating quiet mornings to reading his Bible with a cup of hot tea in hand. Carl enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, finding joy in fishing, swimming and spending time with his family. He had an eclectic taste in music that reflected his vibrant personality. Though he had a fondness for Colorado's beautiful weather, he often reminisced about Texas catfish as a favorite culinary delight. In his later years, Carl developed a preference for YouTube over traditional television, embracing the variety of content available to him.
He will be remembered not only for his love of nature and music but also for his unwavering faith and the warmth he brought to those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
