Charles Harshman passed away on July 22, 2024, due to a brief, but courageous battle with sarcoma. Charlie was the son of Charles and Norma Harshman and beloved brother to Debbie and Mark Nedeau. He was a free spirit who sought out adventure and loved spending time outdoors. He was happiest when he was wondering through high desert canyons searching for pictographs and collecting arrow heads.
He was born on January 1, 1955 in Greeley, CO. He was raised in Westminster, CO where he graduated from high school, played football and ran track.
Charlie then spent ten happy years in Galveston, TX where he started C.W. Roofing, made lifelong friends, and enjoyed the ocean.
He moved back to Colorado in 2002 to help care for his parents. He offered tremendous support to Chuck and Norma helping to maintain their property and care for them as they aged. Charlie had a special knack for riling up his dad and making his mom smile.
He loved his profession as a roofer and would always surprise people by telling them that he loved doing hot tar roofs. He enjoyed a hard day’s work in the sun and coffee with his friends. He loved tinkering with antique cars and collecting work trucks. He never missed a Bronco’s game and he never stopped yelling at the TV. He was friendly and was never too busy to help his neighbors.
Charlie is survived by his sister Debbie Nedeau, nephew Aren Nedeau, niece Erika Jekich and husband Brian, his dear friend Beverly Owens and his great nieces Addy, Reese and Ally who lovingly refer to him as one of their favorite grandpas. He is also survived by a loving extended family. Last, but not least, his four cats Tiff, Teek, Sammy and Gypsy.
