Delta resident, Craig Thomas Ravnikar, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2011 at his home in Delta. He was 41 years of age.
Inurnment will be held Friday, May 25, 2012, at Farmington City Cemetery in Farmington, Utah next to his father.
Craig Thomas Ravnikar was born to Elwood W. and Malinda A. (Pollard) Ravnikar on February 9, 1970 in Bountiful, Utah. He spent his childhood in Bountiful, Utah and attended Viewmont High School, where he graduated in 1988. Craig moved to Delta, Colorado in August 2006, coming from Portola, California. Craig enjoyed scary movies, planting and taking care of the yard and loved to work with the employees and customers at the Acorn Travel Plaza.
Craig is survived by his stepfather, Doug and mother, Malinda (Linda) Nelson of Delta, Colorado; sisters: Kellie Chester of Casper, Wyoming, Holly Leany of Kearns, Utah; Heather Hendricksen of Salt Lake City Utah; stepbrother, Cabot Nelson of Salt Lake City, Utah; nephew, Zachary Beckstead of Grand Junction, Colorado; uncles: Darrell Wilcock and family and Leonard Wilcock and family, all of Utah; and nephew, Zachary Beckstead of Grand Junction, Colorado.
Craig was preceded in death by his father, Elwood W. Ravnikar; grandmothers: Myrtle Raines and Sybil Pollard; Grandpa Eugene Thomas Pollard; aunt, Betty Wilcock; uncle, Lawrence Ravnikar, and grandfather, Delbert Thomas Wilcock.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Craig’s memory to the American Heart Association or Colorado Indigent Care Fund.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
