David Dale Randall, age 61, passed away peacefully in his sleep and was found dead on June 13, 2021 in his home in Paonia, CO.
Dave was born in Chester, PA, raised in Brookhaven, PA, and attended high school at Garnet Valley. He lived in Chester County, PA for many years, with his previous wife Karen Randall and later with his partner of 18 years, Anna Cline. He spent most of his career in the roofing industry, first as an employee and later forming his own contracting business. He loved trips to the beach, fishing, and watching NASCAR races and football.
In 2017 he moved to Paonia, CO to be near his daughter, Megan Randall, with whom he shared a close bond. Dave saw being a father as his greatest accomplishment and joy. He enjoyed a life of simplicity in Colorado, living out of his RV van and later a custom-built 400 square foot cabin. He enjoyed reading, playing music, home cooked meals, mountain drives, and spending time by the river. He kept a close watch over the Paonia River Park, keeping it clean and assisting with various improvement projects.
Dave was a charismatic person with a hearty laugh, and he was known for his many funny phrases, anecdotes, and bits of advice. He was fiercely loyal to those that he loved dearest. His close friends and family will miss his deep conversations and joyful presence in their lives.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Darlene Randall. He is survived by his daughter Megan, sister Patricia Dowd, brother Richard Randall, four nephews, and one niece.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10 at 10:00 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home in Paonia, Colorado. Memorial contributions can be made in Dave’s memory to: Western Slope Conservation Center at
