Diana Elizabeth McGraw

Diana Elizabeth McGraw passed away peacefully at home with family on Wednesday the 28th of August 2024. She was 92 years old and had recently celebrated her birthday happily with family and friends.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10am on October 2, 2024, at St. Margaret Mary Church in Hotchkiss, Colorado.

Diana was born in San Francisco, California on July 18, 1932, to Elizabeth Myatt and Stuart J. Bryson. She graduated from La Jolla High School in Southern California in 1950. She met her love and soulmate, Joseph D. McGraw while he was stationed in San Diego, and they enjoyed 63 years of love, marriage, adventure, and family.

Diana and Joe were moved around the country by his Navy career before retiring for a while in Colorado including 1974 – 1983 in Hotchkiss, Colorado on Hanson Mesa. They kept busy raising kids, horses, and apples, enjoying the rural Colorado mountain life.

She is survived by her children, Michael (Jeanette) McGraw of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Terese (Mike) Ramsey of Durango, Colorado, Mary (Glen) Wadley of Hotchkiss, Colorado, Joe McGraw of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Denise (Alex) Mowery of Oak Harbor, Washington. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Diana’s name to Hope West Hospice of Delta, Colorado.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
