Donald Eugene Short

Donald Eugene Short, age 87 long time resident of Hotchkiss CO, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday June 28th, 2022. He is preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Doris J Short. Don loved camping, fishing, and hunting. He was an avid collector of memorabilia including coins, stamps and western culture. He was a very involved and loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his 3 children: son Anthony Short and wife Evelyn of Fayetteville, NC; daughter, Darcie Nicholas and husband Chris of Brighton CO; son Ryan Short of Hotchkiss CO; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A graveside service was held Saturday July 2nd at 10:30 am at the Crawford Cemetery.
