Doris Irene Miklich

Doris Irene Miklich passed away on 2/06/2025, at Horizons Care Center. She was 94 years old. 

She was born on September 1, 1930, in Leadville, Colorado. Her parents, Ethel (Henson) and Lars Nerim preceded her in death in Denver, Colorado. She had 9 brothers and sisters, all of whom are deceased. 

Doris graduated from Manual High School in Denver. She met Richard Miklich (Dick) in Denver and they were married on September 2, 1949. They celebrated 67 years together. Dick passed away at Horizons Care Center pm 2/06/2016. When Dick retired from the Denver Police Department, they moved to Cedaredge. Dick was elected and served as Delta County Sheriff. 

Doris was a member of the Republican Women’s Club, Eastern Star and Methodist Church. She worked at the Methodist Church Thrift Shop for many years. She loved to play golf with her sister, Thelma, and to play poker with the family every Friday evening for years and she loved her animals. 

Doris is survived by son, Rick, many nieces and nephews and a very special friend Robin Kissner-Smith.
