Ester Marie Burnett

Ester Marie Burnett passed away Friday, February 9, 2024, at Colorow Care Center in Olathe.  She was 85 years old.

                Ester was born June 27, 1938, in Paonia, CO to Echo Vail and Robert Pinckard.  She spent most of her childhood in Crawford, CO and was one of the last classes to graduate from Crawford High School. On December 10, 1958, she married Gerald Burnett in Paonia, CO, they had two daughters.  Ester and Gerald celebrated 62 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2021.  They moved from Paonia to Olathe in 1974 and that is where she called home until her passing.

                Ester loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards and having lunch with her friends.  She and her husband spent 10 summers in Alaska where they enjoyed the wildlife, new experiences and making new friends.  She was loved dearly by her family and her absence will be felt by all.

Ester is survived by her two daughters: Dena (Scott) Hartman of Cody, WY and Donna (Tim) Gray of Olathe, CO, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents: her spouse Gerald, two sisters and two brothers.
