Ilene F. Orth

Ilene F Orth passed away in Mesa, Arizona on March 7, 2025. She was 69 years old.

Ilene was born on June 13th, 1956, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Charlotte Ann (Carter) and Marvin Leroy Ferguson. She spent her childhood in Utah and Arizona. She completed her schooling and came to Colorado from the Phoenix area. She attended college classes online.

On April 9th, 1992, she married John Orth in Paonia, Colorado. To their union they had a son Jeremy, six daughters Billene, Alicia, Ann, Daisy, Heather, and Nikki.

Ilene worked in the convenience stores and was the manager at the Gopher Foods station in Cedaredge for many years.

Ilene enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading-especially Steven King books, collecting Salt and Pepper Shakers. She had a favorite saying of “Never ask a question you don’t want an answer to!” or “Pick your battles!”

Ilene is survived by her children: Jeremy “JJ” Orth of CA; Billene Wilson of Delta, CO; Alicia (James) Salaz of Mesa, AZ; Ann (Tim) Pobick of Crawford, CO; Daisy (Gifford) Jauregui of Azvila, AZ; Nikki (Kevin) Smith of CA; Heather Clark of Delta, Co; brother Lloyd Aaron Ferguson of UT; 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Ilene is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters: Corienne Ferguson of UT; Alice Montoya of UT; Belinda Ferguson of CO; Carol Lucero of CO; Celia Ferguson of UT; Reina Ferguson of UT

She will be inurned at the Mesa View Cemetery Columbarium at a later date to be determined.
