James Eric “Jim” Erickson of Austin, CO passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at his home in Austin, CO. He was 83 years old.
Memorial services will be held 3:00p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Eckert Masonic Lodge, 295 W Main St. in Cedaredge, CO.
James E. “Jim” Erickson was born on Feb. 10, 1937 in Omaha, NE, the son of Harold H. and Esther I. (Haviland) Erickson.
Jim worked in the communications field, specifically for the Delta County Telecom phone company. Jim was a member of Eckert Masonic Lodge No. 136, Colorado York Rite bodies, Scottish Rite and several appendant bodies.
On August 7, 1970 Jim married Sharon L. Dwinelle in Boulder. Jim and Sharon resided in Austin, Colo.
Jim is survived by his wife Sharon of Austin, a son Eric (Patricia) Erickson of Louisville, and a daughter, Kristen Jean Cole. In addition, Jim leaves behind 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
