On Sept. 17, 2021 our dearly beloved family member and friend James Edward Hanley left his earthly home and entered into heaven. Jim, age 68, was born in Liberal, KS and worked for 20 years as a travel agent in Prescott, AZ and most recently worked in Denver where he was affectionately referred to as Mr. Denver Water. Jim was a sports enthusiast who grew up in Delta, CO playing baseball and football, and becoming an excellent golfer later in life. He was an avid reader of books on health, religion, philosophy, and science. Jim was known in his life as a wise and generous friend to everyone he met.
Preceded in death by his parents, Kevin Hanley and Lois Kettle, and his brother Michael Hanley.
Survived by his spouse Ronda Schriock; by sons, Eric Hanley, Ryan Hanley and John (Katie) Pizzo; by daughters, Christina (Chris) Crutcher and Anita (Luis) Pizzo; by his sisters, Jo Ann Wilks; Rosie (Danny) Justus, and Patricia Hanley, brother David (Margie) Hanley; by grandchildren, Mark Holmes, Anna Holmes-Crutcher, Michael Crutcher, Michael (Judy) Hanley, Kelton (Tessa) Hanley, Sgt. Davin (Laura) Hanley, Amber Rose (Chris) Jackson, Alyssa Hanley, Michael Fernandez, Ashinya Raphael Welsh, Jackson Blair, Landon Pizzo, Brandon Guevara, and Antigone Guevara; ten great-grandchildren and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. October 2, 2021 at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel with graveside service to follow at Mesa View Cemetery.
The family wishes to invite James’s friends and family to join them at sunset for a candle light remembrance.
