James (Jim) Low passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025. He was born to his parents Roger and Ethelyn Low on April 28, 1939 in Loveland Colorado. Growing up and attending school in Estes Park, Jim was a member of the Junior rifle club and played on his high school football team. His interest in printing began while working at the Estes Park Trail newspaper, before attending college.
Following his college years, Jim founded D&L Printing in Dillon, Colorado. He enjoyed his time outdoors including hunting, fishing, boating and camping. He was a licensed pilot and loved spending time flying. He married his beloved wife Twila Valaer, in 1974 and the two of them enjoyed travelling, including visiting family in Switzerland and Oregon.
Jim and Twila were snowbirds and enjoyed spending the cold Colorado winter months in sunny Arizona. He was an avid volunteer and spent his time working as a firefighter and ambulance driver for the Summit County fire department, and driving senior buses while living in Cedaredge.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents Roger and Ethelyn Low and wife Twila. He is survived by his two sisters Anita Cowell and Margaret Crossman as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
