James Ruben Lundblad

James Ruben Lundblad, age 72, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at his home in Delta, CO, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 7, 1951, in St. Paul, MN, to Art and Frieda Lundblad, Jim grew up in St. Paul with one brother and four sisters. He spent his summers on his uncle’s farm, where he developed a lifelong love for the outdoors and farming. Jim enlisted into the army in 1971 and was part of the crash and rescue team on the military base. 

Jim was a gifted carpenter with a special talent for woodworking. He looked forward to starting each day in his shop, crafting beautiful items, including breadboards, furniture, and toys, which he generously shared with others. Known for his patience and kindness, Jim was always willing to teach others the skills he had mastered and was ever ready to lend a helping hand.

A man of deep faith, Jim's life was centered around his love for Jesus, a passion he eagerly shared with those around him. He was an active member of the Gideons, taking great joy in distributing Bibles and spreading the word of God. Music was another of Jim's passions; he loved singing worship songs and playing the harmonica and keyboard daily.

In his free time, Jim cherished being in the mountains with his wife and enjoyed many peaceful days fishing with friends and family. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith touched the lives of many, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Darlinda; his children, Lisa (Jerry), Michael, Mandee (Brent), Fantasia (Tristen), John (Jessie), Jenny (Bo) and numerous grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, David(Natalie), and three sisters, Carol(Bart), Marilyn, and Melody. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Joyce and two brother in laws.
