Jim was born at home to Caroline and Joseph Stroh in Berthod Colorado. His brother Alvin and sister Gloria have preceded him in death. Upon graduation in 1944 joined the Army and was Sent to Europe. Where he joked that he got a free tour by the sole of his feet. After the war he returned to Colorado and attended the Colorado School of Mines. In 1952 he married Betty Norgren and john and Sharon were born. He worked as a Geologist for Skelly Oil in Casper and eventually moved to Denver. In 1964 the lure of agriculture got so strong that he purchased a farm and ranch in Delta County. Betty was killed in a car accident in 1970. He met and married Eileen Owens alone with Ron, Mike and Greg in 1973. They celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary in June. He loved Golfing , Fishing, Hunting and Family. He is survived by five Children John (Jeanie) Stroh Sharon Stroh, Ron (Kathy) Owens, Mike Owens, Greg Owens 11 Grand Children and 15 Great Grandchildren.
