Jim Winkler, 83, was born in Sacramento, California to William Andrew Winkler and Alice Beaman Winkler and passed away at Veteran Memorial Hospital.

Jim moved to Delta in 1952 as a child and after many adventures took over the family farm in 1973 after the passing of his father. He farmed until the 80's when the farm was sold. He remained in Delta until his passing.

He was proceeded in death by parents William (Alice) Winkler, Letha Winkler (wife), one brother, Fred Winkler, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Mary Carver, Mrs. Kathleen Campbell and Mrs. Janice Whomble.

Jim is survived by his Brother Jerry (Nancy) Winkler of Eckert, Sister Jackie (Don) Churches of Texas, Children: Mary (Doug) Strickland of Delta, William (Amber) Winkler of Missouri, and Robert (Chris) Winkler of Delta, 8 Grandchildren: Mary Catherine Scraggs, Linda (Mike) Ray, Paula Strickland, Caleb Vanstrom, Patrick (Angela) Vanstrom, Samantha Winkler, Zachary Winkler and Steven Winkler, 11 Great Grandchildren, numerous other relatives, and a world of Friends.

Graveside Services Were Held Monday, July 31, 2023, at Mesa View Cemetery.
