Jerry Mack Haptonstall

Jerry Haptonstall was born April 24, 1941, in Delta, Colorado to Ron and Ila Haptonstall, the second of three sons. He passed away on April 2, 2025. His family moved from Delta County in 1953 to Prescott, Arizona where the three boys graduated from high school.

Jerry worked in building construction with his dad until he went into the Army in 1964. He was discharged from the Army in 1966. Shortly after leaving the Army in February, he and Carol Johnson were married in Coalinga, California on April 2, 1966. They resided in Prescott, raising two daughters until 1980 when the family moved to Colorado. Jerry continued doing carpentry work, raising a few cattle, remodeling and old house or two; then in 2019 they moved into a newly built home in Eckert.

He made a choice in his youth to live for God and follow the Bible, which he was true to all his days.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and younger brother, Pat. He is survived by an older brother, Ron (wife Bonnie) of Brighton, CO; his wife, Carol, of 59 years; two daughters, Sonya Haptonstall of Rozet, Wyoming and Sally Haptonstall of Colorado and Wyoming; five grandchildren: Tabitha, Mark, Austin, Mya and Madelyne; and four great grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by all family, especially his wife, and many, many wonderful friends.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 10th, 2025 at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta, Colorado beginning at 2:00pm. A private family burial will take place following the service at the Eckert Cemetery.
