Jerry Lee Tegtman was born December 11, 1935, moved to Heaven November 25, 2024. We lost our loving Brother on Monday November 25, 2024, at his home in Orchard City, Colorado.
He was survived by his sisters Sandy Carruth and Pam Seneff, and a brother Michael Tegtman, nieces Kimberly Klady and Cassidae Chance, and nephews Arin Tegtman and Wes Seneff, in addition to eight great nieces and nephews plus two great-great nieces and one great-great nephew.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Ted and Hope Tegtman, and a brother Donald Tegtman.
Jerry loved his family and his pet cat Henrietta. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed cool cars and watching old movies.
Jerry was very proud to have served in the Navy, including actions in the Korean War as a Landing Craft operator. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of seventeen and served six years when he was Honorably discharged.
He worked as a carpenter and construction supervisor, building homes in California before returning to Colorado. He then worked in maintenance at Walmart in Delta, Colorado and retired after ten years.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends for his wit and humor.
Celebration of Life services to be held at Taylor’s Funeral Home in Delta, Colorado beginning at 10:00 am, on Friday, May 9, 2025. (Dependent on the VA Cemetery Schedule) Services will be immediately followed by Military Honors at the VA Cemetery in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
