JoAnn Dodson passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Willow Tree Care Center.  She was 82 years old.

Graveside services will be at the Mesa View Cemetery in Delta, CO 10:00 am on Saturday, October 28, 2023.

JoAnn was born on September 3, 1941, in Delta, CO to Esther (Markley) and Benton Dawson.  She grew up in Delta and graduated from Delta High School in 1959.  She worked many years at Russell Stover Candies as a packing supervisor then worked at the convenience store at the corner of 1^st and Main in Delta. 

When not working she enjoyed camping, fishing, collecting earrings and spending time with grandkids.  After retiring she enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army food bank.

JoAnn is survived by her daughter Susan (Shelton) Fezer of Poulsbo, WA ; her grandson Benton Fezer currently serving in the United States Air Force in Barksdale, Louisiana; her granddaughter Alyx Fezer currently attending University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA and three beautiful granddaughters Skye, Oakley and Finley. 

JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Dixie Gilmore.

Her family would like to thank the nurses and aids at Willow Tree Care Center for all the loving care they provided to JoAnn over the past year. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to HopeWest, PO Box 24, Delta, CO  81416.
