John George Knothe

John George Knothe went to his Heavenly Home on October 16, 2023 at his home in Cedaredge, Colorado.   He was 75 years old.

John was born on May 15, 1948, in Passaic, New Jersey, to Claire Hannigan and George C. Knothe.  John grew up in Clifton, New Jersey, and graduated from Pope Pius XII in 1966.  He graduated from the College of Emporia Kansas with a BA in Modern Languages.  

He served our country in the US Army.  John served in the Army Security Agency in West Berlin, Germany.

He met his love Myrth Heaton in college, they were married on January 6, 1973.  They spent a yearlong honeymoon in Germany and celebrated 50 years of marriage together.

They moved to Cedaredge and made it their home.  John was an electrician and in 1987 they moved to California to further his profession.  When not working, John loved fishing and spending time exploring our National Parks in his RV.  They returned HOME after retiring.

John is survived by his wife Myrth of Cedaredge, his niece Diane Zandin (Mike) of Sweden ad her three children: Delaney, Brenden, and Lenea; various other nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and sister.
