Kenneth Leroy "Bucky" Jones

Kenneth LeRoy “Bucky” Jones passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at his home in Delta, CO. He was 80 Years old.
Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2020 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado with Rev. Del Whittington and the Grand Valley Combined Honor Guard officiating.
Kenneth L. Jones was born on July 10, 1939, in Albuquerque, NM to Willie Jack and Delores E. (Rodgers) Jones. Kenneth spent his childhood in Albuquerque, and attended New Mexico State University. Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Army. He was a boiler inspector for Harford Steam Boiler prior to retiring in 2006.
On May 29, 1965 Bucky wed Winfred “Wendy” Conner in Carlsbad, NM. Together they raised 2 children.
Bucky had been a resident of Delta for the past 26 years, coming here from La Port, TX. He attended the Olathe Assembly of God Church. His interests included collecting miscellaneous items (to many to mention) hunting, fishing, motorcycles.
He belonged to a Christian Motorcycle Association and Full Gospel Business men’s Fellowship International.
Among Mr. Jones’ survivors are his wife, Wendy of the family home; a son John Jones of Williston, ND and a daughter, Pattie Jones Salazar (Troy) of Grand Junction. He also has 2 grandchildren, Skye and Sean. He was preceded in death by his parents
