Kenneth Edgar Tousignant

September 7, 1949 — June 17, 2024

Plantation, FL

On June 17, 2024, Kenneth Edgar Tousignant passed away at Florida Westside Hospital in Plantation, FL. Ken was born September 7, 1949, to Elizabeth (Tingley) and Raymond Tousignant in Providence, RI. Ken grew up in the North Attleboro, MA area graduating from Bishop Feehan High School in 1967.

In 1973, Ken and his younger brother Dennis followed his older brother Raymond out to Colorado. The three of them started working for Coors Brewing Company in Golden, CO. Ken stayed at Coors for about 35 years as an equipment operator.

Ken immediately fell in love with the Rocky Mountains and the wide-open spaces of the American West. He enjoyed being in the Mountains every chance he got. There were many times when you would find him camping and fishing down along the South Platte River in Deckers, or along the banks of the Carter Lake. In addition to being in the mountains Ken was an avid golfer and would find every single chance he could to get out on the links and play a round. He also loved to watch PGA golf and the NFL, especially his New England Patriots (when he could).

In the Summer of 1975, he met the love of his life Debra (Debbie) Waybill while out with friends in those very mountains. On December 12, 1975, Ken and Debbie were married. This union was blessed with 3 sons over the next three years. Family meant everything to Ken. He took every part in raising those boys teaching them how to fish, how to golf and most of all how to love unconditionally. Unfortunately, in February 1984, tragedy struck this family when they lost their youngest son to a tragic accident. This put a lot of strain and pressure on the family and resulted in a divorce. However, this is when Ken showed his unconditional love and continued to support and make the changes necessary to bring his family back together.

On August 7, 1998, and September 25, 1999, the family welcomed two grandsons to the family. These 2 boys were Ken's world and he would do anything he could for them. Again, teaching them how to fish, golf, and love unconditionally. You would always find Ken supporting his grandsons in whatever they wanted to do whether it was sitting on the sidelines as they played and/or coached football, ran track meets, or played in the Orchestra. He was fully devoted to those boys. Then on June 13, 2018, his granddaughter was born. Ken absolutely adored this little girl and would do anything for her. This became even easier when Debbie and Ken moved to Sunrise, Florida in December 2022.

Ken is survived by his wife Debbie Tousignant, sons, Arthur Waybill, and Micheal (Katie) Tousignant; sister, Joyce Tousignant; brother, Dennis Tousignant; 2 grandsons, Kenneth Waybill, and Dakota Waybill; and granddaughter, Oliva (Livi) Tousignant.

Ken is proceeded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and Raymond Tousignant; his brother, Raymond Tousignant; son, Phillip Tousignant; and 2 nieces.
