Kristi Sanchez (Peterson)

Kristi (Peterson) Sanchez passed away on August 13, 2024, due to a brief, but courageous battle with ALS. Kristi is the daughter of Susie Schreiner and Jerry Peterson. Kristi was born on July 9, 1979 in Columbus, MT.

She was raised in Absarokee, where she graduated from High School.

On September 2, 2000, she married Felipe Sanchez. From this marriage, they had one son, Alex. Both reside in Paonia, CO.

Kristi worked at Brilliant Smiles in Paonia and Mandeville Insurance Agency as a remote agent. She will always be remembered for her unprecedented organizational skills and keeping everyone on task.

Kristi loved traveling and not only traveling but planning out the trips to fulfill each and every day. 

Kristi is survived by her husband Felipe, son Alex, mother Susie Schreiner, father Jerry (Angela) Peterson, sister Melony Peterson and step-father Mark Schreiner. Grandparents include David & Rose Peterson and Eugene (Thelma) Lukkes and a very large loving family. Last, but not least, her three dogs Blue, Niya, and Nova. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 23, 2024, at 3pm at the Columbus Evangelical Church. The service will be available on the Columbus Evangelical Church Facebook page and the following link (https://youtube.com/live/eAtGvwSxyDQ).
