LaVella Rose Findley Grasmick Gardner entered into God’s presence on Jan. 15, 2021 at Horizons Care Center. She was 72 years old.
She is survived by her daughters Kimberely Hubsky (Daniel) of Roseburg, Oregon, Stacy Gardner (Scott) of Cedaredge, Colorado, and Carissa Hodson (Keith) of Anchorage, Alaska. LaVella had nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was born Aug. 10, 1948, to Edna and Jerrold Findley of Lamar, Colorado. She spent most of her youth in Kansas, Texas and Southeastern Colorado with her sisters, Linda Johnson (Lester), Cathy Jacobson (Terry) and brother Dan Findley (Cindy).
She caught the eye of a young man, Gary Grasmick, and they married July 23, 1965. They were married for 21 years. She was married to Mark Gardner of Vermont for six years. LaVella was a florist for 27 years and worked for Ruby’s Floral in Delta, Colorado, as well as H&Y Floral, and King Soopers to name a few. She was a talented florist and her love of flowers was passed to her children.
LaVella was a strong Christian and firmly believed that Jesus was her Savior. She attended the Assembly of God Church and she attended Grand Mesa Southern Baptist Church. She loved her daughters and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
LaVella is preceded in death by her mother and father. A memorial service will be held this summer.
