Lawrance William Fritzlan passed away Thursday, March 25th, 2021, at his residence in Delta, Colorado. He was 74 years old.
Viewing will be held at Taylor Funeral Service in Delta on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. On Wednesday, March 31st, 2021 Lawrance’s family and motorcycle escort will be departing Taylor Funeral Service for interment in the Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Grand Junction at 8:45 a.m. arriving at the VA cemetery for interment there at 10:00 a.m.
Lawrance was born August 30th, 1946, to Lucille E. (Worth) and William W. Fritzlan in Nebraska and moved to the Delta area when he was about two years old. He graduated from Hotchkiss High School and attended classes at Mesa State College.
Lawrance was drafted into the Army in 1965, and proudly served our country through 1972, obtaining the rank of Private First Class.
July 23rd, 1970, Lawrance married the love of his life Sonia Rae (Shelden) Fritzlan. He spent many years working the logging industry, coal mining and 25 years as a fencing contractor with L & S Mountain Fence. He really enjoyed his Harley Davidson and getting to go ride. In his free time he worked in his garden. His true enjoyment came from spending time with his family. He was a member of the 1st Church of God.
Lawrance is survived by his loving wife Sonia Rae Fritzlan; three sons William (Colleen), Dan (Robin) and Andrew (Miriam); daughter Michelle Ashurst (Jesse Kearns); three brothers Walter, Royal and Samuel; sister Stella Campbell; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Lawrance was preceded in death by his parents, brother Wren and sister Rosa.
