Lesley C. "Les" West

Delta, Colorado resident, Lesley C. West, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. He was 56 years of age.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta with interment following in Delta City Cemetery.
Les was born on July 5, 1964 to Maryann Lavone West and Carl Robert West in Denver, Colorado. He spent his early childhood in Aurora, then moved to the North Fork area in his teens where he graduated from Hotchkiss High School and later furthered his education at DeVries University in Arizona.
Les married Sherri A. Robinson on February 12, 1993. Along with Sherri’s 2 children Jonathan and Scott, the union resulted in two sons Eric and Carl adding to their family. Les was a coal miner and worked in construction. He was a very talented woodworker. He loved spending time with his family, fishing and gardening. His greatest pride and joy in life was raising his sons. Les was an extremely generous man who was giving of his time, talents and advice.
Les is survived by his partner in life, Marsha (Wood) West of Delta; his four sons: Johnathan (Carmen) Stapp of Delta; Scott (Niki Travis) McNeil of Cedaredge; Eric (Carisa) West of Billings, MT and Carl (Renea) West of Delta; his mother, Maryann Love of Delta; two brothers: Larry West of Hotchkiss and Robert Kline of Montrose; two sisters: Carla Cogar of Aurora and Becky Reed of Phillipsburg, KS; Chris and Tasha Lopez; eleven grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lesley was preceded in death by his father, Carl West; his brother, Daniel West and a nephew, Marvin Cogar.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Taylor Funeral Service and Crematory.
