Linda Mae crossed over September 17, 2022 at our home in Cedaredge, CO holding hands with Linda’s Lifetime partner and wife of 36 years Susan Ruiz Oden as Linda crossed over peacefully.
Linda Mae was born October 20, 1948, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to father (Bill) Haskell Ray Oden and Mother Barbara Mae Hutchings, Linda Mae was an only child, Linda’s father and mother divorced they both remarried, Linda stayed with her mother, and stepfather they then had six more children and Linda’s father remarried and they had nine more children so Linda had 15 half brothers and sisters. Linda never got to know her real father when she found him, she was two years too late. She was able to meet her siblings on her father’s side she was welcomed with open arms by all of them from Wichita Kansas and her aunt Opal and her kids from Wisconsin and Edward CO. She didn’t have the opportunity to meet her uncle Glenn Paul Oden and his family and Frances and her family Linda was looking forward to meeting the Oden family. Linda’s family on her mother’s side the Campbell she grew up with, she kept in touch with half sister Jane and Brother Herbie, Jane married, Randy LaRue and Jane LaRue live in Delta, CO. They had a daughter Jennifer LaRue she had two twin kids. Rust LaRue and Jennifer had two twin kids bay and girl. Rusty LaRue had three kids, they live in Fruita, CO. Brother Herbie had a step son Joe and daughter Brandi Campbell and her three sons and daughter Candi and her two sons live in Missouri. Linda’s niece Brandi would call her Auntie Linda every week on the phone and just talk. Brandi and her boys always would brighten Linda’s day even if Linda
couldn’t talk.
Linda Graduated from Boulder High in Colorado. Linda then applied at IBM in Boulder, CO and she got the job. She then retired from IBM, Linda then got her certificate for Curtis Driving School she successfully completed the professional truck driving program in October 1979 and was awarded her diploma driving for Curtis Trucking delivering. Then drove in Brighten for Brighton Water Trucking Company in Weld County in the oil fields Driving a water truck for the oil drillers.
Linda was so happy she did get baptized. Linda’s brothers and sisters on father’s side Oden Jimmy Ray, Debbie, Rick, Sharon, Mike, Chip, Keith (Corky), Brad, Tanya, and all the nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews from Wichita, KS and brothers and sisters on mother’s side Campbell, bobby, Jane, Wynona, Herbie, Penni, Wanda June, and nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews they live in Missouri and Colorado.
My Linda Mae Ruiz Oden is already missed. Linda, you made it safely home. My Linda you made my life complete. Your mark is in my heart and soul and no one can take that from me. Jesus Christ brought us together for a reason to love each other because no one can have what Jesus gave us the love for each other, I Love you Linda Mae Forever Together always yours Together.
