Margaret June Booth passed away on February 1, 2025, at HopeWest in Grand Junction, Colorado, surrounded by her loved ones. She was 89 years old.

June, as she was known by her family and friends, was born on December 31, 1935, at Hawk’s Nest, Colorado to Eleanor Aldreda and Nestor Trujillo, Sr. She graduated from Paonia High School in 1954.

June met her high school sweetheart, Michael (Mike) Booth, during her sophomore year and they were married on May 18, 1955. Mike and June were married for 28 years until he passed away on March 19, 1984. She never remarried.

June worked as a Title 1 teacher at Paonia Elementary School for several years. She changed professions and worked at the Delta County Telecom in the accounting department until it was bought out by TDS. She then worked at Hays Drug Store until she retired. She moved from Paonia to Delta, Colorado, and lived there until her passing.

June enjoyed reading, sewing, sports, and was a huge George Strait fan. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren (who she called “the Greats!”).

June is survived in death by 4 children: Marlin (Jane) of Little Elm, Texas; Mona Vader (Mike) of Gunnison, Colorado; Christy Allison (Randy) of Woodward, Oklahoma; and Robert (Robynne) of Grand Junction, Colorado; 9 grandkids; 15 great grandkids; and numerous nieces and nephews.

June was proceeded in death by her husband, Mike; her son, David; her parents, Nestor Sr. and Eleanor Trujillo; her brothers, Joe, Pete, Nestor Jr., & Monte; her sister, Florence; sister-in-law, Joan; and son-in-law, Mike Vader.

June’s Celebration of Life will be held on February 10, 2025, at 11 am at Taylor Funeral Service located at 682 1725 Rd in Delta, Colorado. Flowers can be sent to Taylor Funeral Service.
