She graduated from Delta High School in 1962 where she was known as a talented Spirit Squad baton twirler. Marty spent the majority of her adult life employed in Delta and was a well-known figure in the community. She was an expert Gardener, there was not a flower or plant she could not grow. She often spent countless hours with her grandchildren teaching them about planting and gardening. She won multiple county fair competition ribbons with her granddaughter Taylor for her Dinner-Plate-Dahlias. You could also often find her by a lake fishing with her children and grandchildren. Marty was well known for never treating people as a stanger and spent her entire life offering help to anyone in need such a place to stay, a hot meal or simply a cup of coffee and a hug. She operated a daycare for years and took pride in the help of raising hundreds of Delta children. She had a wide circle of friends and loved ones and will be sorely missed.
