Marvin Earl Hannigan

Marvin Earl Hannigan passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Willow Tree Care Center.

Marvin was born in Grand Junction on April 4, 1930.  The second of six children born to Joseph (Jay) and Nova Wilkinson Hannigan.

Marvin grew up in the Whitewater area attending school at Purdy Mesa and Whitewater.  He spent his early years working as a ranch hand on several large cattle ranches.

The family then moved to Delta where he met and married Ramona Faye Calhoun.  They were married on June 14, 1953.

He worked hauling Uranium ore and cattle before moving to Arvada where he ran a small excavating service.  Upon retirement he moved back to Delta.

Marvin is survived by Faye (wife), Terry (son), Frankie (grandson), Joan (sister) and John Holton (brother-in-law), Lorna (sister-in-law) and Don Anderson (brother-in-law), and Velma Hannigan (sister-in-law).

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dennis; daughter, Caryl; brothers, Joe, Eugene, Dan and Walter Hannigan. 

A graveside service will be held at Delta Cemetery on May 31, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
