Melody Berry passed away April 1, 2024 at her residence. She passed peacefully surrounded by her beloved family. She was 81 years young.

Melody was born December 20, 1942 in Illinois. Her parents were Mary E. Grisham and Russell H. Grisham.

 She grew up and attended school in Alton Illinois where she graduated from high school in 1962. She continued her education at Southern Illinois University. She later decided to leave the university and start her family.

She met and married Sherman R. Berry on May 10, 1963. They celebrated being a loving wife and husband for over 61 years of their lives.

Melody loved her family and enjoyed being a homemaker. Her hobbies included many things such as crocheting, cross stitch, oil painting and many other crafts. She loved going camping, fishing, and enjoyed being with her family in the outdoors on picnics and various other activities.

 If you ask her husband they both enjoyed “Living on Love”!

Melody is survived by her husband Sherman R. Berry Sr. of Cedaredge Co. They had 4 children together. Their sons Sherman R. Berry Jr. (wife Deanna) of Gunnison Co., Jeff Berry (wife Christine) of Buena Vista Co., Mike Berry (wife Sandy) of Gunnison Co. and daughter Missy Gallegos (husband Tom) of Delta Co. She also had her loving fur baby Molly. Melody also had a Buku number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and fur babies. 

Melody is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

There will be no services as she requested.
