Michael Edward Mclaughlin

Austin resident, Michael E. McLaughlin passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Horizon Care Center in Eckert, Colorado with his family by his side. Michael was 78 years old.
Michael Edward was born December 4, 1942 to Maurice F. and Agnes L. (McGrath) McLaughlin in West Rutland, Vermont. He graduated from Ticonderoga High School with the class of 1960. He went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy from November 9, 1960 – December 3, 1963. Later Michael went on to further his education at Liberty Home Bible Institute, graduating in 1987.
On April 16, 1966, Michael married Margaret Elizabeth Drinkwine in Ticonderoga, New York. To this union two sons were born. The couple had the honor of sharing 55 years of love and marriage.
Michael worked for International Paper Company for 44 years before retiring. He enjoyed reading, camping, but most of all spending time with his family.
Michael is survived by his wife, Margaret McLaughlin; two sons, Tim and Sean McLaughlin; a brother, Thomas McLaughlin; a sister, Maureen Stacy. Michael is further survived by four grandchildren, Nate,
James, Maddison, and Paisley McLaughlin.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Agnes McLaughlin; brothers, James F. and Max J. McLaughlin; sisters, Patricia Szabo and Joyce DeRosia.
