Michael L. Weigel

Crawford, Colorado resident, Michael L. Weigel, was found deceased on May 11, 2021 after several months of him missing, He was 51 years of age.

Michael Leon was born on August 11, 1969 to Virginia M. “Gigi” Weigel in Los Angeles, California. He spent his childhood in Bakersfield, California. He graduated from West High School in Bakersfield with the Class of 1987.
After graduation, Michael served his country in the United State Marine Corps. Michael lived in Lake Isabella, California before moving to Crawford, Colorado where he has resided for the past 3 years.
Michael was an artist and enjoyed reading. While in California, he helped the homeless population.
Michael is survived by his two daughters: Sierra Weigel and Victoria Sedillo of Vista, California; his parents, Gigi and Jess Deegan of Crawford; a brother, Rodney (Stacey) Grounds of Bakersfield; a niece, Ashely Deegan; a nephew, Wyatt Grounds; two uncles: Bernard and Robert Weigel; and an aunt, Barbara Everly.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents and by a brother, John Deegan.
