Cedaredge resident, Milton Hood passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at his home in Cedaredge, Colorado. He was 82 years old.

Milton was born July 9, 1938 to L.E. and Hattie (Rouse) Hood in Marlboro County, South Carolina. He spent his childhood in North and South Carolina, graduating from Evergreen High School with the class of 1956 in North Carolina. After graduating Milton went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Air Force from October 23, 1956 through July 21, 1961. After being honorably discharged, Milton went on to further his education at the Community College of Denver, graduating in 1975.
On February 14, 1958 Milton married Patricia Ann McCabe is Aurora, CO. To this union four children were born. The couple had the honor of sharing 62 years of love and marriage.
Milton worked for United Airlines where he worked as an R & E mechanic and in communications. He and Pat were members of the First Baptist Church in Cedaredge. Milton enjoyed fishing, camping, but most of all he cherished his time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Milton is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Hood; a son, Jeffrey M. Hood; daughters, Linda S. Dissette and Lisa K. McKenzie; brothers, Earl (Buddy) Hood, Max Hood, and Ricky Hood; sisters, Polly Gray, Annie Mae Brett, Alene Cahoon, and Carolyn Oster. Milton is further survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Milton was preceded in death by his parents and his infant son, Jeffrey Kim Hood.
