Cedaredge resident, Norman C. Morrow passed away peacefully Monday, November 2, 2020 at Crossroads ALF in Delta, Colorado. He was 88 years old.
Norman Clair Morrow was born August 5, 1932 to Arlo and Ann (Arnott) Morrow in Crested Butte, Colorado. He spent his childhood all over the hills of Crested Butte. Norman graduated from Paonia High School and went on to obtain his Masters Degree at Western State College.
On November 24, 1990, Norman married Kathleen D. Tyler. The couple lived together in Hotchkiss before moving to Cedaredge nine years ago. The couple would’ve celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary on November 24th.
Norman led a full and interesting life. He was a dog man—he and dogs gravitated to one another. He was an athlete—a baseball catcher—but also a man of learning. He was an educator he was deeply committed to the wellbeing of Jr High school aged children. He was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and especially loved sking. Most importantly, he was a kind and gentle man, who always wanted to know how everyone in his family was doing. Norman leaves behind many friends and family members that adore him and who will miss him greatly. He brightened our lives! His family thought of him as a true gentleman
Norman is survived by his wife, Kathleen Morrow; two sons, James J. Waroff and Peter Gordon Tyler; two daughters, Kathleen Uraine and Debra Hock; a sister, Carol Emmons; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Arlo and Ann Morrow; a daughter, Pamela Donner; a brother, Donald Morrow.
