Randy Scott Hanson

November 24, 1953 — April 15, 2021

Randy Scott Hanson of Evans, Colorado returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on April 15, 2021, at the age of 67 due to complications of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
He was born on November 24, 1953, to James and Pauline Hanson in Delta, Colorado; shortly after he was joined by his younger siblings Renee, James, Teresa, and Julie. He attended and graduated from Delta High School. While there, he played football and excelled in wrestling. He enjoyed cruising in his ’56 Chevy and working at the drive-in theater. He served an honorable mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the California Oakland Mission.
On June 24, 1977, he married Kathi Little in the Manti Utah Temple. Randy and Kathi raised four children: Amy, Cori, Gary and Lindsay. Randy had a loving and caring personality. He was so thoughtful and loved each of his children and grandchildren dearly. He sought after moments he could share with them. He cherished the times he got to spoil them and make them feel loved and special.
Randy spent the majority of his career working as a plant supervisor for Meadow Gold Dairies. He made sure there was no shortage of delicious dairy products at home, especially ice cream. Later he found his true passion as he worked for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Facilities Management. He thrived in repairing, beautifying and caring for the church buildings in which members would congregate. He cherished most when his children and grandchildren would visit him at work. He loved sharing with them what he did and on many occasions a good meal.
Randy remarried on August 24, 2013, to Yvette Voss in the Denver Colorado Temple. Together they spent the remainder of his earthly life in Evans where they loved and cared for each other.
He is survived by his spouse Yvette; children Amy (Dean) Giles, Cori (Angie), Gary (Amy), Lindsay (Tim) Karakusis; grandchildren Paul, Elizabeth, Hannah, Brynn, Aviana, Esmee and Jaina. He was also survived by his mother Pauline; siblings Renee (David) Garrett, James (Natalie) Hanson, Teresa (Shon) Wells, Julie (Merlin) Holyoak. Randy was an avid dog lover and was also survived by grand puppies Ana, Tebow, Georgia and Opal.
Randy was preceded by his father James Leroy Hanson on November 22, 2002.
