Renee Stella Eaton

Renee S. Eaton, 76 of Delta, Colorado passed away on March 23, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital. Renee was born to Manuel Rascon and Phyllis Vigil in Center, Colorado. Renee graduated from Cedaredge, Colorado in 1966. She moved to Rhode Island, then to California finally returning back to Delta, Colorado, where she married Victor Eaton. Renee resided in Delta for 40 plus years and enjoyed being back home again.

Renee worked for the Delta Nursing Home for a few years and later she and Vic started their own business which was Pest Away Spraying. After retiring from their business Renee worked at Cedar View Family Practice, Edward Jones as well as The Place I Go until her passing.

Renee was a member of Altrusa. She truly loved her Altrusa family. She was always willing to help and so was honored when they presented her with being the governor of Altrusa. She was later nominated for the international presidency but unfortunately will be unable to attend.

Renee was a very loving person and made friends wherever she went. She always wanted to help whenever she could or would find help when she couldn’t. One of Renee's specialties was taking in and helping stray animals. Renee would always make sure they were spayed/neutered and would never let them go hungry.

The family of Renee wants to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to Saint Mary’s Hospital for all the wonderful service and kindness that was given to our beautiful sister.

Remaining to cherish Renee’s memory are Joe Luna Junior (brother), Diane Rodarte (sister), as well as many nieces and nephews who she always claimed as her own.

Preceding Renee in death are Victor Eaton (spouse), Leroy Luna (brother), Phyllis Gurule (mother), Joe Luna (father), Vince Rodarte (brother-in-law), Joey Luna (nephew) as well as many aunts and uncles.

Viewing will be held on April 3rd, 2025, at Taylor’s Funeral Service, Delta, Colorado from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Services will be at Saint Michael’s Catholic Church April 4th, at 10:00 AM with a luncheon following. There will be a memorial service held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers we would ask that you donate to Altrusa and the Humane Society.
