Reuben M Leon

Delta resident, Reuben M. Leon passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, December 28, 2020. He was 79 years old.
A funeral service will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Gunnison Valley Church of the Nazarene in Delta, Colorado. Interment will follow at Mesa View Cemetery.
Reuben was born April 6, 1941 to Gustavo C. and Phyllis M. (Mendez) Leon in Colorado. Reuben spent his childhood and attended schools in Colorado.
On June 15, 1962 Reuben married Julia Rebecca Tafoya in Delta, Colorado. To this union four daughters were born. The couple had the honor of sharing 58 years of love and marriage.
Reuben is survived by his wife, Julia Leon; daughters, Helen Leon Bowman (Heidi Hess), Becky Leon Davis (Steve Davis), Carmen Leon Hale (Nolan Hale); a son, Keith W. Bowman; grandchildren, Steven, Jon, and Rusty Bowman, Alyssa and Sarah Davis, Ryan and Dylan Hale; Great-grandchildren, Amaiya, Ayden, Kellen, and Kyler. Reuben is further survived by his extended family and friends.
Reuben was preceded in death by, a daughter, Phyllis Renee Leon; a brother, Ernest Leon; parents, Gustavo and Phyllis Leon.
