Robert Dwayne Westwood

Delta

Robert Dwayne Westwood, 82, of Delta, Colorado, passed away on February 13, 2025, born on November 3, 1942, in Compton, California. He was a devoted husband to Tamara Ann Miller Westwood for 61 years and a loving father to Deneen Cook, Cynthia Westwood, Robert Westwood, Thomas Westwood, and Pamela Wiltsie.

Dad was hard-working and dedicated. He spent his life working in many fields during his lifetime. He enjoyed his retirement and his family for the last 20 years.

Dad loved being the center of attention. He loved to stop total strangers in the store and tell them Alexa’s joke of the day. He was the social butterfly of the family, stopping to talk to anyone and trying to make them smile, leaving an impact on anyone who knew him.

Dad’s hobbies and interests helped define who he was. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing. He often spent his weekends with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved shopping for candy and toy trinkets for any of the kids, whether it be at Dollar Tree or Emeline’s; his love for us always shined.

He is survived by his wife, Tamara Miller Westwood, his son, Thomas Westwood (Shawna), daughters, Deneen Cook (Lonnie) and Cynthia Westwood, as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Wayne and Elizabeth Jean (Mudge) Westwood, son, Robert John Westwood, daughter, Pamela Dawn Wiltsie, and two great-granddaughters.

A funeral service will be held on March 9, 2025, at 5pm at Pea Green Community Center. We find comfort knowing that Dad’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love that he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever.
