Rodney L. Hamilton

Cedaredge, Colorado resident Rodney L. Hamilton passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Horizons Care Center in Eckert, Colo. Rodney was 68 years old.
A graveside funeral service and interment for Mr. Hamilton will take place on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eckert Cemetery.
Rodney “Rod” Hamilton was born in Delta, Colo. on March 12, 1953, the son of Leonard L. and Mary Hazel (Hicks) Hamilton. Rod spent his childhood and received his education in Cedaredge, attended Mesa State College, and was a lifelong Cedaredge resident.
On April 28, 1984 Rod wed Tammy Faye Eckstine in Eckert. She survives.
Rod was a mechanic and a mail carrier. In his “free time” his interests included hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, camping, all forms of outdoor recreation, and of course, his family.
In addition to his wife Tammy, Rod is survived by his 5 children: Leonard D. Hamilton (Bregan) of Delta; daughters: Twyla Dawn Hamilton (Matthew Driskill) of Eckert; Vickie Lee Miller (Ben) of Cedaredge; Kimberly L. Kelleher (Dustin) of Cedaredge; and Reba R. Sadler (Jake) of Cory. Rod also has 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
