Rosalie Trinidad Abila passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Colorow Care Center. She was 89.

A Rosary will be held Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Delta Taylor Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm at St. Michael's Church in Delta, on Friday, April 12, 2024. Graveside services will follow at the Delta City Cemetery as we lay Rosalie to rest.

Following services, Lorraine and Blaine welcome you to their home for lunch and to celebrate the life of Rosalie.

Rosalie was born September 4, 1934, in Del Norte, Colorado to Manulita Manzaneres and Jose Martinez. She graduated from Del Norte High School.

Rosalie met and married the love of her life, Joseph Eugene Abila, on August 20, 1955. They celebrated 68 wonderful years of marriage together. Rosalie and Joseph moved from Alamosa, Colorado with their 6 children in 1974 and made their home in Delta, Colorado. Rosalie was a homemaker and mother to their 6 children. Rosalie enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and her favorite hobby of chasing her many grandchildren around and watching them grow.

Rosalie is survived by her daughter Brenda (Sam) Salcedo, Edward (Nancy) Abila, Eric (Kimberly) Abila, Lorraine (Blaine) Griffith and Paul (Jennifer) Abila. Rosalie has 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Joseph Abila, son Roy Abila, her parents, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
