Roy "Buster" E Owens

Roy E. Owens Jr. passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at his home in Delta, Colorado.

Roy was born on May 26, 1956 in Delta, Colorado to Betty L. (Blake) and Roy E. Owens Sr. A lifetime resident of Delta and a graduate of Delta High School in May of 1974.

He met Susan Y. (Fowler) and they were married on May 25th, 1974. They celebrated 50 years of marriage and 52 years of being together.

Roy and Susan made their home in Delta, being residents of Delta County for 68 years.

The jobs he enjoyed were: Ironworker and Construction. When not working Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family, grandchildren and great granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife Susan of Delta, his daughter Corissa D. Rule and son Travis C. Owens, both of Delta, his sister Beverly A. Ware of Montrose, CO and his brother Robert Owens of Delta. He has six grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his youngest brother, John R. Owens.

Funeral services will be held at a later date when family can all be here.
